Bowers & Wilkins T7 Is a One of a Kind Luxury Bluetooth Speaker
Bluetooth speakers tend to become more and more popular, and that’s because mobile devices are taking up a larger part of our lives. However, luxury wireless speakers are not something you get to see everyday, but the Bowers & Wilkins T7 is a great example of how these should be done.
When Bowers & Wilkins designed the T7 Bluetooth speaker, the company had the clear intention of creating something that’s in a league of its own. The downside of most mobile devices is that if you’re not using a pair of headphones, the sound you’re getting out of the built-in speakers is sub-par. By spending just a bit (or in this case a lot) more, you can compensate for the questionable sound quality with a speaker that not only brings you premium sound, but it does so in a form factor that you can take with you anywhere you go.
The Micro Matrix is a patented piece of structural engineering that relies on honeycomb framework that stiffens the speaker’s cabinet in order to reduce vibrations. Two force-canceling bass radiators are employed for preventing the speaker from vibrating and moving. As you can see, unlike other “luxury” products, the T7 is not all about the exterior aspect, but also about premium components and design concepts that help it deliver a clear sound. The hardware is completed by two 50 mm drivers with a glass fiber diaphragm and two filterless class D amplifiers, along with a DAC that takes the quality of the sound even higher.
Since it is using Bluetooth, it’s rather obvious that the Bowers & Wilkins T7 luxury wireless speaker can be paired equally easily with smartphones, tablets and even laptops. The source is not that important, as the sound will be crystal clear in any context. That means that you can workout or spend a relaxing afternoon in your garden without having to mind the distortions created by lower-quality speakers.
Seeing as this is a portable device, you might be interested in its battery life. A full charge should provide 10 hours of continuous play, but I’m not sure if that is while listening to music at full volume.
The T7 Bluetooth speaker will be available in stores at the end of this month for $350. That’s more than the price of regular Bluetooth speaker, but keep in mind this is a luxury product we’re talking about.
