Lisco: A USB Snake Bracelet Concept

A lot of computer peripherals these days inspire our witty designers to make accessories that not only make an excellent fashion statement but also suggest geeks are not ugly stinking creatures. A USB cellphone charging wrist accessory, hailed as Lisco, was probably born out of the same idea.

Laurent Hongisto is the designer behind this USB snake which is not only a portable charging solution but also a trendy bracelet. It is basically an arty replacement to the Data Cable we use for syncing out phones with our computers, so you can transfer audio and video files while the exhausted phone battery inhales some power from your laptop. Its usage is not restricted to phones alone; you could also it to connect your portable HDDs and makes use of your files there.

Lisco is actually a flexible USB cord that has a piece of colored leather veil around it. The USB plug sticking out from one of the ends is turn off for me. If only the whole thing could be disguised by means of zipper of something, it would have looked flawless and less crude. Also, cell phones of different brands and HDDs don’t have standard jack for pushing in the USB cable, so I wonder if it’s equipped to tackle this problem. No points for guessing this is just a concept and still has a long way to go before it can be materialized.
